ABOUT
Having grown up in an artistic family in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany, Katharina Rumpf first completed training as a goldsmith before studying fashion design at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Master of Arts 2014).
After some years of working with scrap materials (wearable sculptures, wall objects) she started creating sculptures and installations out of metal fabric.
Flowers and flowerscapes have been the inspiration and focus of her studies.
In 2023 she developed a skill to consciously create with her higher self. This self-taught method, which includes meditation, adds new artistic perspectives to her body of work.
Currently she is working on a bigger, yet secret project.
She works and and lives with her family in Hamburg.
